More news... not dead...

Thursday September 13 , 2007 23:36

Yep it's me again... if you read the forums or look at the Official Unreal Tournament 2004 forums, I did updates lately with Villa. I just don't have time or even think about the website.

Just take a look at this link OVER HERE

It's the place I update the most. Just stay around, I'm never dead and you never know when I'll  come out with something.

 Some news.

Thursday January 26 , 2006 8:50

I usually try to make updates only about the mod but sometime, when I have nothing to say for some time, I don't make news, that's the problem. To be sure people don't think it's dead or anything. I know it's been like 5+ months that I didn't post news. I will try to update a bit more from now on.

Sorry for that, I will try to keep this alive.

 New map is progress

Saturday July 2 , 2005 0:50

I started to work over a new PD map. I won't tell what map it is for now. I just wanted to say this. I started to play less to WoW and mapped more  (playing GTA:SA a lot too). Expect some shots one day. This time, I started mainly with the map layout without taking care of the lighting nor textures assignation and aligment. I did start to texture correctly some parts there and there butthe map isn't really in shape to be shown anyway,

Stay tuned as always,  I don't want to lose people!

 Grid released!!

Sunday June 19 , 2005 12:50

Yep, finally, after all the waiting, I finally found the time to complete what was left to do over grid. It is now ready and up to download! Go grab it in the download section while it's still fresh!

Also, don't forget to visit me in the PD2004 channel on EFNET over IRC and post comments on the forums!

 Need to update more often...

 Thursday May 24 , 2005 13:00

I'm sorry again for the lack of updates on the site but I've been busy lately with a lot of stuff that I will explain.

First of all, the main reasons is World of Warcraft, I started to play it about a month ago and It's being addictive. Next comes the college, lot of work to do at this end of the semester but that won't stop me.

For the updates, Grid is REALLY close to be released (if I get to finish it for once and for all). I've completed all the geometry , the lights, paths and weapons are added. The only things left to do is to add the music and the level info & summary, The only thing that won't work is the breaking glasses, there is multiple ways to do them but the way they work won't fit for the map.

Another update is the Skedar, that will be fully fixed, bug and size side. Since it was my first map, the proportions weren't perfect, nothing was aligned to the grid , lot of BSP cuts everywhere. I've started to fix all that some days ago, using the real proportions. the map will prolly come one day too.

In other news, due to some recents events and you haven't checked the forums, I suggest you to look at THIS thread.

Last thing I want to inform you is, if you want to contact me, instead of sending me emails or adding me to your MSN contacts list, just come to talk to me directly over irc. Connect to an EFNET server then join the #pd2004 channel. I'm ALWAYS online in this channel but it doesn't mean I'm always there (away/busy). Just say/ask what you want and I will reply/read as I will come back. For people that don't know how to go on irc, you can go download mIRC .

 Small Update

Saturday March 14 , 2005 12:00

I will try to update more often right now to be sure that no one thinks that the mod is dead or that I'm doing nothing. Of course, the GE mod is the main concern for the maps, those need to be done first but as I know me, I keep working on other stuff.

I've been recently working over the Grid. I've got the main geometry of the map done, the elevator is there and fully working (looping, sounds, doors etc.), I've also managed to make the bots to use the doors (and the elevator), a good thing is that they act exactly as the PD simulants when taking it.

If you want to see any shots of the map , just go on the forum, there is a new thread about the Grid I made some days ago.

Another point, if you went on the forums in the past days, you might have noticed that I'm looking for talented textures artists to remake the original low-res PD textures to high-res , detailed and realistic ones. Contact me by email or post there if you're interested. I've already found someone but there's nothing sure for now.

 Huge Update again!

Saturday January 15 , 2005 18:20

First of all, I modified the site, it now uses frames and I updated the address location ( added a redirect from the old one). I've also got my own sub-forum on Emutalk instead of the 22 pages thread. go check! register if you have any comments or questions.

Now, I'm proud to announce the release of 2, yeah that's right, 2 maps. If you did already look at the forum, the maps are the G5 Building (Combat Simulator version) and the Car Park.

Also, I'm sorry about the downtime but the server hosting emulation64 (and of course this site) gave up and new servers got ordered. Both are now up and working so I can post back updates on the site.

Go Grab the maps in the Downloads section!

 Big Updates Time

Saturday August 8, 2004 23:40

I didn't make any updates for a while and I'm sorry about this but I've done progress on the mod in overall.

First, since I was doing the Facility for the GE mod and I had the Multiplayer part done, I started to retexture it for the PD Felicity.

Second, I started to learn how to put weapons ingame, I got 2 guns in for now, the Laptop Gun and the MagSec4, they don't have any animations on them yet, nor any fire effects, but they got their original fireing sounds, the original ammo boxes with their pickup sounds.

you can see shots of both of the guns and of the felicity in the Media Section under Screenshots.

 Website moved and updated!

Tuesday May 11, 2004 16:46

Yep, as you can see, the whole website has been redesigned for the 2004 look ! As you can see, the style is really based on the Perfect Dark menus style. Also, it will be faster since the site is now on the Emulation64 server. Of course, being  on this server requires me to add some ads for emu64,

I also cleared the old news from the page, I didn't copied to old ones but I still have them somewhere, I'll make a news archive section later.

Time for an update - Complex!

Monday May 10, 2004 23:28

Finally , for all those that were waiting and not visiting the Forums, here's a map!
Yep, Complex as been finished some days ago, it only took a little while before making an update. Map is available  in the download section, the map will work with ut2004 but I'm not sure about ut2003 since I don't have it installed anymore. I also updated the link on the left for my Emutalk thread, for anyone, feel free to register and post comments or any bugs you might find / suggestions you could have .

Also, I know it might interest no one but It's my birthday in 2 days but I'm not planning anything special.

There is a last thing that I want to  say , I'm now also part of the GoldenEye Project mod for UT2004, for my maps of course. Links will be added later when site will be online! Stay tuned!
